Inspired by the vision and vitality of the Sisters of St. Francis of Mary Immaculate, Our Lady of Angels Village in Joliet is a senior living community where respect, compassion and independence are valued above all else. The intimate neighborhood of 28 maintenance-free ranch cottages is owned by the Joliet Franciscans who have shared their healing mission locally for more than 150 years. Today, men and women of all faiths are blessed with a faith-based senior living environment where they can live independently in the comfort of their own private space.
The Sisters of St. Francis of Mary Immaculate embrace the Gospel way of life and obey the command of Jesus to “pray always and not lose heart” (Luke 18:1). They follow the example that foundress Mother Alfred Moes imparted—to take risks, assume new tasks, devote new energies, and seek out those in need. As Sisters in community, they commit themselves to living with and for one another in faith, common hope and mutual love while sharing their possessions, talents, ideals, and selves. In addition to operating Our Lady of Angels Village, the Joliet Franciscans sponsor the University of St. Francis and Joliet Catholic Academy.
